Culture Collector's Yard, where Paidéia Associação Cultural resides, is a space owned by the municipality. This complex of buildings which have been used for several purposes, the first of them being a place where garbage collectors would rest their chariots, has hosted Paidéia since 2006. The perennial risk of losing this place and, with it, the possibility of continuing our project, puts the institution in a constant effort towards making socially relevant and artistically innovative work. Since then, we have been transforming this space in a centre for artistic production focused on the formation and development of children and youth. Much beyond being only a place for presentation, it is a meeting point of cultural agents.
