ASSITEJ World Congress 2017

Aglaia Pusch from Paideia is at the ASSITEJ (International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People) World Congress 2017 in South Africa.

Aglaia Pusch and Amauri Falseti founded Paidéia Cultural Association in 1997 and since then they are Paidéia´s General Direction. She is also actress of the company and the festival curator of the Paidéia International Theater Festival for Children and Youth: A Window to Utopia.

On 17th May 2017, Aglaia Pusch is going to present at the International Theatre for Young Audiences Research Network (ITYARN) Conference talking about the 5 years intercultural exchange between Paidéia from Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Grips Theater from Berlin (Germany).

The World Congress

The World Congress is the most important meeting of all members of ASSITEJ (International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People), which takes place once every three years. It is the culmination of the working life of the association for that three-year period, reflecting on the last three years of activity and creating a vision collectively with its members for the future.

The Conference

The International Theatre for Young Audiences Research Network (ITYARN) in association with the University of Cape Town (UCT) and Drama for Life, based at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), hosts the the Conference “Cradle of Creativity: Examining intercultural exchange and diversity in theatre for young audiences”. The Theatre Festival

The theatre festival encompasses a diverse and rich range of theatre productions from across the globe during the last few years, with a special focus on Africa as the “Cradle of Creativity”. It gives a snapshot of theatre for young audiences as it exists at this point in history, and as represented by performances from a wide variety of countries and continents.
